Thoreau

I’m finally reading him. He’s a cool guy. Some quotes I’ve found stuck to me after reading A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers:

If we dealt only with the false and dishonest, we should at last forget how to speak the truth.

Does this mean I can now ignore all news and politics? (My personality probably wouldn’t let me anyways; but it’s a good reminder).

Between whom there is hearty truth there is love; and in proportion to our truthfulness and confidence in one another, our lives are divine and miraculous, and answer to our ideal.

Do you think that Brené Brown and Thoreau would have been friends?
