Commission Request

Thank you for considering me to work on your unique item! Here are some things to know before the process begins:

Know that I am open to going outside my subject matter or current style but I may choose to deny your request if it deviates too much. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns.


Turnaround Time:

The turnaround time varies depending on my current workload and the complexity of your piece. Generally it takes about 1 week for concept design & approval and about 2 weeks to build, fire, and glaze pieces. Please reach out if you need current wait times.

Sizing:

I usually work at 6”x6” or below. I can work up to 18”x18” for an added fee. Feel free to specify size but please remember that certain designs or concepts might work better in a small size. I try my best to make up to specification but everything is hand built by me alone.

Prices:

Cost will vary greatly based on size and complexity. The small/simpler pieces will usually start at $14 and the larger/complex pieces can go up to $200 or more. Please let me know if you have a budget constraint and I will tell you what I can make within that budget.

Payment Plans:

Payment plans are accepted on a case by case basis. Once all payment is received, I will start working!

Refunds, Returns, & Failed Payments:

Please review my shipping/returns page found here. For commissions refunds can only be accepted up to the first revision (before first biscuit firing), however, 20% of project price will be kept as a non-refundable deposit. Payments must be made on time. I will not accept future payments from customers who fail to make payments in a timely fashion.

Materials:

I work with Laguna Speckled Buff, Georgies Mazama Red, and Georgies Rogue River Buff clay bodies. Please choose one of these three. You can find more details about them here and here. I generally like to use Georgies Perfect White, Incredible Black, Latte, and Grey glazes. You can see how they look on various forms in my shop. I’m always trying out new glazes though and would love to try formulating my own so don’t be shy about asking about more colors!

Process:

The form you fill out below will get sent to my email inbox. You will usually receive a response from me within 1-4 business days. We will discuss ideas, designs, budgets, etc. and once we settle on the details, I will create a custom listing for you to purchase. Once I reach your project in my queue I will draw a sketch design for you to approve. I can offer another revision after the design is approved and I have begun forming the clay (before biscuit firing) but that will be the final one. When finished I will send photos and then mail your custom piece to its new home! ✨
